ILWAR
This is the continent of Ilwar, which occupies the majority of western Cyfandir, a world not unlike our own. Both series take place primarily on this continent and some of the surrounding island chains. The various kingdoms/empires are labeled in purple. Capital cities are noted with a pink dot. More maps and details will be added as the stories progress.
THE PENINSULAR KINGDOMS
The southwestern third of the continent is comprised of several sovereign nations that emerged from the collapse of the Lynmari Empire. Disputes are resolved and deals are struck at the annual King's Conference.
The Or'igahn Desert, a vast wasteland that cleaves the continent in half, is believed to have swallowed up the Dimoran civilization centuries ago. Those who fled evolved into the Nokri tribesmen known today.
Rumors of Salkashir's existence also survived. The ancient Dimoran city became the storehouse for the nation's collective wealth in preparation for the advancing sands and was sealed away in the hopes of one day resurrecting their society.
The key to Salkashir's depository allegedly resides within Lynmar's own famously impenetrable vault.
AVELIRIA
Aveliria is a peaceful kingdom found in the northeastern corner of Ilwar. The capital city, Wyndham, and the two major ports of Dioria and Seagate, are the realm's commercial and cultural centers.
The Wilds south of Aveliria are home to wandering nomads known as the Nokri, who are divided into three factions: Jitsa, Moesa, and Eja.
Largest of the three, the apathetic Eja remain impartial to the generations-old feud between the other two, interested only in their own preservation. They're willing to trade with Avelirians for survival, but keep mostly to themselves.
Driven by guilt over the racially charged masacres of the past, the peaceful Jitsa are eager for reconciliation between Aveliria and the Nokri, while the fanatical Moesa insist on maintaining the purity of their cultural heritage, obsessed only with recovering the lost fortunes of Salkashir and restoring the Dimoran civilization to its former glory.
